Self-Management Recommendations

If you received this handout, it means your therapist believes you may benefit from one or more of the following self-care techniques or tools. Some are intended for full-body wellness, others for specific conditions, and some to support overall balance (homeostasis).

If you’re unable to research these items online, you can take this list to a natural food store for assistance. Many of these products are widely available, and some can also be ordered for you upon request (supplements and alkaline water only).

General Health Considerations

Many individuals experience symptoms often associated with adrenal fatigue, including:

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Low energy

  • Mood or stress intolerance

  • Brain fog

  • Weakened immune function

  • Hair, skin, and nail issues

  • Low libido or sexual dysfunction

One possible contributing factor may be musculoskeletal imbalance, particularly involving the iliopsoas muscle. If you’ve had hip replacement surgery or structural misalignment, adrenal support supplements may be helpful.

The body is highly interconnected. For example:

  • Teeth correspond with organs and systems through nerve endings

  • The body follows cyclical patterns of organ/muscle relationship activity throughout the day in a 24 hourperiod.

When to Seek Additional Care

If muscle weakness or confusion was noted during your kinesiology assessment and did not improve with treatment, consider:

  • Consulting a neurologist

  • Exploring alternative therapies
